We are delighted to announce that our CEO Laura-Jane Rawlings has joined the new Youth Futures Foundation as a non-executive director. LJ will be working with the Foundation’s Chair Joe Montgomery and other board members to help shape the organisation’s work in the youth employment space.
About the Youth Futures Foundation
Working in partnership with the youth sector, public bodies, young people and employers, the Youth Futures Foundation will support young people into meaningful employment, helping them to reach their full potential.
Our challenge is to remove barriers for those furthest from the labour market and to help address the ethnic disparities in youth unemployment, as revealed in the Race Disparity Audit.
As an independent organisation, with initial funding from dormant assets, we have the opportunity to deliver real and lasting change by identifying and championing what works.
Laura-Jane Rawlings says:
“Youth Unemployment is a Rubik’s Cube. You can’t work each colour in isolation. Similarly, groups need to work as a cohesive whole to tackle youth unemployment. It feels like there is a real moment in time where we could come together to think strategically about youth unemployment in a way that could make a real and sustained difference to all young people.”
