YHA are looking for young people aged 16 to 25 from as diverse a range of backgrounds and experiences as possible to join their Youth Advisory Team.

YHA is a leading youth charity, and we share a common purpose: to improve the health, wellbeing, and life chances of all, but especially young people facing adversity and challenges. It is essential that we make sure young people (under 26) have a voice in how we are governed and what decisions we make.
What is the Youth Advisory Team?
The Youth Advisory Team was formed in March 2021 and exists to ensure that young people are involved in YHA’s decision making and governance. The team both advises and shares the leadership of YHA with our Trustees, executive and staff.
The Youth Advisory Team is for all young people aged 16 to 25 and we welcome anyone interested who is in this age bracket to apply.
YHA would like to particularly encourage applicants from:
- Black, Asian and marginalised ethnically diverse individuals
- People/persons with disabilities
- People/persons with mental health conditions
- People/persons who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, non-binary
- People from a low-income/socio -economic status
- People not in education, employment or training
- People from rural and inner-city backgrounds
- Care-leavers or people in care
