About the opportunity

Content creation of real life features across the portfolio of Bauer’s Real Life brands, working within the editorial vision and strategy for each brand. Working within Monday.com and WW assets to create a whole feature package, including words, pictures and other assets required from agency copy and reader submitted copy.

Role Responsibility

  • Content creation – to use Monday.com and WW assets, to create a whole feature package, including words, pictures and other assets required
  • To turn around agency copy to publishable standard, being aware of legal risk, and IPSO editorial code. To conduct re-interviews where needed, and readbacks.
  • Supporting TSP by taking on incoming stories, interviewing, writing and submitting a complete features package via WW assets.
  • Hitting agreed output levels – to the correct volume, frequency.
  • To take part in the daily and weekend papers, and see opportunities for real life stories to chase, and non-real life, including reports, third person stories, crime ideas, etc.
  • To source and fill regular section/sections across titles, such as tips, letters, contents etc.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Expertise: best-in-class journalists on their subject matter, passionate and authoritative, and able to be a fantastic storyteller and wordsmith.
  • Ability to build trust, and show empathy with the story contributor.
  • To develop resourcefulness, tenacity, and competitiveness when chasing.
  • Creative thinkers – able to operate across brands.
  • Have the potential to become multi-channel journalists – able to create content for any platform where appropriate (print, digital, video, app, membership services in future) – Training will be provided
  • To gain operational understanding of Monday and WW Assets through training
  • An eye for imagery and design
  • Great planners – efficient, diary-driven and organised
  • Professional pride – a desire to hit the correct quality threshold for each title/channel
