Grow your catering skills, have fun and be part of something special with Nando’s Careers. They celebrate diversity, put the environment first and make a difference…
Being a Nandoca is more than just a job you come to every day. Nando’s want everyone in the work family to be happy and succeed, so they keep an eye out for each other, inspire each other and celebrate with each other.
Why Nando’s?
Light hearts: Nando’s have an informal approach to work means nobody takes themselves too seriously, and everyone can be true to themselves. Who we are at work is who we are at home.
Strong hearts: Nando’s recognise that their responsibilities as a business goes much further than serving up memorable customer experiences (though that’s important, too). Everyone at Nando’s acts together and plays their part to make the organisation as good as it can be, in an environmentally and ethically responsible way.
Nando’s believe that ethics, the environment and diversity are serious and important, but you can still approach serious matters with a whole lot of enthusiasm, fun and innovation. If you’re thinking of becoming a Nandoca and growing your early career with Nando’s, here are some ways in which this Youth Friendly Employer seeks to be aware and inclusive when it comes to people and planet:
Values to live by
Since the very beginning, these values have been the guiding light of Nando’s. These are the 5 things Nandocas live and breathe every day:
- Pride
- Passion
- Courage
- Integrity
- (and most of all) FAMILY
Communities look out for each other
The Nando’s family culture means a love of doing things together, and no more so than when it’s for a great cause. All over the UK, Nando’s restaurants choose to act on causes close to their hearts.
Nando’s partner with hundreds of charities across the country as part of their No Chuckin’ Our Chicken programme – to support those in need and reduce food waste they have already donated over 2.3 million meals to local charities as of 2020.
Respecting the environment
Nando’s are leading the restaurant industry in their climate commitments. Nando’s are already carbon neutral and aim to be net carbon zero by 2030.
They talk openly about their sustainability plans so that they can learn from others and encourage more restaurants to follow suit.
It’s not just the people in the Nando’s boardroom thinking about climate change. Nandocas help out, too! Nando’s restaurants have Do The Right Thing Champions who help by doing things like checking energy usage and helping to reduce food waste in the restaurant. When you become a Nandoca, you make a difference.
Diversity and inclusion
At Nando’s, everyone is welcome. Inspired by their Southern African heritage, Nando’s know and value the richness that diversity brings to life. They are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful culture for all, including existing and future Nandocas, partners and suppliers, customers and the communities we are all a part of. Nando’s restaurants work hard to create an environment where every individual is valued, respected and can flourish regardless of who they are, their background or outlook on life.
Nando’s Careers
Nando’s is not just about the chicken. It’s about the people who make the chicken. As a Nandoca you become part of a community that works hard to celebrate diversity, respect the environment and work and play as one big family.
