Digital Support is right at the heart of any organisation such as ours. We need people with the technical know-how to help our customers, to make sure everything runs smoothly.
As an apprentice Digital Applications Technician, you’ll help our internal users and customers to maximise the use of digital technologies, and adapt to and exploit changes in technology to meet our company’s objectives
By the time you’ve finished your apprenticeship, you’ll be able to provide technical expertise on IT Applications and Databases. Your new tech skills mean you’ll be able to support on our Technical Major Incident Process for our business customers, working collaboratively with your team.
On your apprenticeship you’ll learn to take ownership of technology, build your problem-solving skills and work with lots of different stakeholders. You’ll learn how to maximise productivity to ensure effective use of digital communication systems in order to achieve BT’s business goals.
It won’t just be about the technical skills though; we’ll help you to develop your resilience and positive attitude when dealing with difficult situations. You’ll also learn to use your own initiative when implementing digital technologies and finding solutions.

About the apprenticeship you’ll study for
As a Digital Applications Technician, you’ll study for a Level 3 apprenticeship, called Digital Support Technician Level 3 – Digital Applications Technician.
Your apprenticeship scheme will last 18 months and 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to studying.

Entry requirements
You’ll need to achieve five GCSEs at grades 4–9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
