The team are based over in the Directorate offices and work closely with the Divisional Triumvirate along with each surgical department within Weston. These consist of General Surgery, Colorectal, Endoscopy, Upper GI, Gynaecology, Urology, Oncology, Anaesthetics, Theatres, Day Case, Cancer Services, Trauma & Orthopaedics and Outpatient Services.

Are you aged 16 to 24?
As part of your role you’ll be using a variety of IT systems including the full suite of MS Office applications as well as specific in-house NHS systems.
You will be trained and supported to undertake basic clerical tasks to get a real flavour of work in a busy environment where priorities can change rapidly and the need for flexibility is essential.
Applicants for this placement should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the need for confidentiality and a high level of attention to detail.
Your tasks may vary include:
- Shadowing meetings that are minuted with the opportunity to minute also
- Attending various departmental meetings to gain an overview of the service issues
- Reviewing Nursing Documentation to ensure it is in date and well stocked
- Ordering medical equipment and documentation via our EROS system
