Purpose / Responsibilities of the role
Alongside your day to day role on site you will also ‘earn while you learn’ by completing a higher apprenticeship in mineral products technology. Upon completion of your apprenticeship your qualifications can be topped up to a full Bachelor of Science honours degree in minerals management. All study is fully funded by Hanson and you will be paid a competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package, supported by a mentor as well as your line manager.
During the three year programme you are gaining experience and relevant qualifications in operational aspects of our business alongside blended learning delivered by The University of Derby. From year four onwards you could progress to a supervisory role whilst studying towards an honours degree.
Hanson produces aggregates (crushed rock, sand and gravel), ready-mixed concrete, asphalt, cement and cement-related materials from over 300 UK production sites. We are part of the HeidelbergCement Group and employ over 3,600 people.
