Throughout the course, learners will complete training in relation to confidence building, employability skills, and an understanding of expectations and requirements within a business setting. Practical elements of the course will encourage learners to develop and learn new skills such as workplace expectations, presenting self during interviews, CV writing and effective communication with others. This will be alongside maths, English and essential digital skills training, where learners will be supported to progress within own skill set.
Work placement duties may include:
- Greeting customers
- Understanding and updating database
- Ensuring the Pharmacy is ready for business
- Ensuring stock is readily availible
- Assisting customers where necessary
Work experience may cover but is not exclusive to:
- Introduction to the Pharmacy sector
- Awareness of roles & responsibilities of the Pharmacy Assistant
- Skills & attitudes needed to work in a Pharmacy
- Communication
