About the Role
As a Britvic Drinks Dispense Technician Apprentice, you’ll be a brand ambassador by delivering a simply brilliant first impression to our customers. Preparation and presentation are key to delivering a perfect visit that meets and exceeds our customer’s expectations. You’ll use your growing skills to install, maintain and repair our soft drinks equipment in a variety of business premises across the UK. You’ll also share advice and tips you are learning with customers on how to serve the very best drinks every time. No two days are the same, which means you’ll always be learning and finding new challenges to get stuck into.
Your enthusiasm for our products and everything else that we have to offer will be a driving factor in your success in the role and apprenticeship. To succeed in this role, you’ll have a logical approach to solving problems, be good with your hands, but most importantly, get a real buzz out of helping people.
When you join, you’ll be given comprehensive training over 15 months from Wolverhampton College, as well as continuous on-going support from your peers and mentors at Britvic.
During the 15 months on the programme, you will be expected to attend college for 10 study blocks of 1 week long to complete theory and practical learning. Any travel or accommodation costs incurred as part of your training will be provided by Britvic.
Key Responsibilities
- To install, diagnose and repair Dispense and Chiller equipment
- Educate customers with the knowledge and understanding of food hygiene responsibilities and basic fault diagnosis to maximise equipment serve time
- Attend college full time in year 1, complete all learning requirements to develop both hands-on skills and basic engineering underpinning knowledge
- Safely complete a variety of practical tasks and jobs to support your college learning
- Support Technicians with maintenance and visits to customers
- Drive personal development on the programme
- Learn about the business, soft drinks, and manufacturing; learning from others’ experience and knowledge with a clear vision about where we’re going and who we want to be.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Qualifications: You must have 5 GCSEs, including grades 4-9/A-C, or equivalent in maths and English
You’ll also need:
- A full, valid UK manual driving license
- To be able to build memorable relationships
- Adaptability for new daily challenges
- Competent with using IT systems
- Drive and motivation to complete the college based side of the apprenticeship

Salary: £21,673.60 – Increase after 6 months performance dependant

Working hours: 40 hrs a week for the 1st 6 months 9am to 5:30pm Mon to Fri, Increasing to 42hrs per week after 6 month which will include 1 weekend in 4.
Apprenticeship is 15 months studying plus 3 month EPA – training will be delivered in Wolverhampton, any travel or accommodation costs needed to attend training will be covered by Britvic.
