Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship: Darlington – #CreateYourFuture

We are looking to appoint a enthusiastic, caring and hard-working teaching assistant apprentices to join our team. If you are enthusiastic about making a positive difference to the lives of children and possess the skills and qualities, we are looking for we would love to hear from you.

What you will do in your working day

The role would include, but is not restricted to:

• Work closely with class teachers and Teaching Assistants to implement individualised learning plans for pupils with all levels of needs and abilities
• Provide one to one and small group interventions to help pupils overcome learning barriers and achieve academic progress
• Assist in the creation and adaptation of learning materials to suit pupils’ individual needs
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment throughout school where all pupils feel valued and respected
• Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including breakfast club, lunchtimes and playtimes
• Provide accurate clerical support when required

The training you will be getting

You will be working alongside experienced colleagues and upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, will obtain:

• Level 3 Teaching Apprenticeship Standard
• Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English (if required)
