This apprentice survey has been designed by members of the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education (IFATE) to capture the views and experiences of apprentices across the country. If you are an apprentice, IFATE would love to hear from you.
This survey is open to any apprentice who is on or has completed an apprenticeship standard. The survey will close on 8 April 2022. The survey should take about 10 minutes.
Take part in the Apprentice survey!About the Survey
Your responses are anonymous and will be used to conduct analysis and publish an overall report, but no individual or identifying information will be published. The apprentice panel will use the feedback on the survey to improve the overall apprenticeship experience for everyone. They will also use the results to build on their current Raising the Standards guidance. The IFATE works with employers to develop and revise apprenticeships and technical qualifications in England.
The apprentice survey questions have been developed through workshops with all members of the apprentice panel, and subsequent meetings of a survey working group from the panel. Members of the apprentice panel include current and recent apprentices, who have completed their apprenticeship within the last two years, from a wide range of occupations and experiences from across England.
The survey will ask questions on the following eight themes:
- Workload and wellbeing
- Partnership between the apprentice, employer and training provider
- Experiences and quality of induction and training
- Preparation for end-point assessment
- Progression to further study
- Diversity and inclusion
- Views on apprenticeship standards.
The IFATE apprentice panel will use the feedback on the survey to improve the overall apprenticeship experience for everyone. They will also use the results to build on their current raising the standards guidance which was created following the results of the last survey which can be viewed at:
