Youth Employment UK is delighted to announce that Stewart Segal will be joining the team as a Non-Executive Director on the 1st of April.
Stewart has been involved with Youth Employment UK as a supporter and advisory board member for more than three years. His expertise will be vital in helping Youth Employment UK continue its work to support the youth employment agenda in the UK.
Laura-Jane Rawlings CEO of Youth Employment UK said “I am thrilled that Stewart accepted this role with us. We have really valued and benefitted from his support over the years and it was important to us to see that continue.
Youth unemployment remains a critical issue in the UK, there has been a lot of development in this space with the development and focus of apprenticeships. There is more to come as DWP flesh out the new Youth Obligation and we see the results of recent careers and FE routes consultations, funding cuts also continue to put extra stress on youth services.
Our work has never been more important as we provide support to employers and youth organisaitons to help them navigate the policy but also to embed best practice when working with young people.
The role we have to bring young people’s voices into the heart of this policy remains an essential part of our work. We have forged strong links with government through the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Youth Employment and our work with DWP and DfE. Stewarts support and expertise will as always help us build on these relationships.”
