The Digital Automotive Hub is the editorial powerhouse behind the Parkers.co.uk and Carmagazine.co.uk websites. Working with the site editors for those brands (and other stakeholders) we provide a wide range of content to spec, on time, and in keeping with all current SEO guidelines and business goals. The role
We are currently looking for 2 Staff Writers. The Staff Writers are the engine room of our automotive brands, creating content that is carefully selected to drive maximum audience reach and results for Bauer’s motoring websites. They will work across Parkers, CAR and other automotive titles where applicable, ensuring that the hub is servicing the content requirements for each brand.
These roles will focus primarily on delivering ownership and advice content, and there will be scope to assist with reviews, news and other content types in time. The staff writers will work with the head of the hub, website editors, SEO/audience development and other key stakeholders to ensure that all content – whether created new or updated – is laser-focused on this purpose.
Responsibility
- Creating content that drives our ownership and advice sections
- Developing a deep understanding of motorists’ needs – for consumer and enthusiast audiences
- Using data to make content decisions: marry human and analytical insight to create brilliant, must-read content
- Meeting deadlines and hitting daily and weekly output targets
- Striving for excellence in all output, from the quality of writing to SEO and picture selection
- Taking as great care in CMS housekeeping, search optimisation and social amplification as in the writing
- Working in a data-led environment: track the performance of content, learn what works – and what doesn’t
- Assisting with the creation of newsletters
- Using social media channels to promote our content and brand
