The Skills Show : what is it and who is it for?
Have you been to the skills show? It is the biggest skills and careers event in the UK and comes to Birmingham for 3 days every year. The Skills Show showcases skills, jobs and employers and is full of interactive stands for you to get a little taste of what it might be like, you can explore being a web designer, chef, make-up artist, aircraft mechanic – the list goes on….
This year the Skills Show will be taking place between the 16-19th November at the NEC Birmingham – oh wait, did we mention it is free to attend? The Skills Show is a great place to try out activities, explore what you like and where your skills might lie.
You might have heard about the Skills Show through school or college but did you know it is also suitable for young adults and that you do not need to be in a group to attend? There are plenty of activities, talks, careers planning sessions and employers to talk to – something to suit those who have no idea what they might like to do and those who know but aren’t quite sure how to get there.
