Skills & Careers Resources for Young People (includes downloadable workbooks)

Youth Employment UK exists to tackle youth unemployment, and a key to doing that is to ensure that all young people have access to quality skills and careers information to support them on their journey to work. We have been supporting young people, employers, providers and policy makers for 10+ years and are one of the leading youth employment experts in the UK.

Developed with insight directly from young people we built a comprehensive range of inspiring and impartial skills and careers resources for 11-30 year olds, all free to access and kept fully up to date with the latest information and guidance.

Underpinning our resources is the Journey to Employment Framework, and we also map our skills and careers content to the Gatsby Benchmarks, CDI Framework and the Skills Builder Framework. Partnerships with The Careers & Enterprise Company, PiXL, WorldSkills and others is testament to the quality behind our resources and our commitment to young people and those that support them.

Most of our resources are digital, all are free and can be found via the careers hub.

Within this area you will find:

  • Advice & Information Section – covering education, employment, entrepreneurship, support and wellbeing content
  • Career Guides – a hub packed with careers information, LMI and links to youth-friendly employer
  • Young Professional Courses – our Preparing for Your Future (14-16) and Journey to Work (17+) modular certificated courses
  • Virtual work experience – our virtual taster programmes introducing young people to the world of work, key sectors and brilliant employers
  • Opportunity finder – again packed with training, work experience and employment opportunities at all levels from all over the UK
