Pret Apprenticeships can take you far… from A Levels to management material! Natalie shares her story, and how she learnt on her journey that she’s tougher than she thought.
Meet Natalie Jordan! She started as a Team Member apprentice back in 2018/2019, then became a Trainer, a Leader and in 2023 is now an Assistant Manager in Kitchen doing her Level 4 Hospitality Outlet Manager proramme. Here’s how the Pret Apprenticeship set her up for success…
Why did you choose to pursue a career in Hospitality?
When I left A Levels, I wanted to complete an apprenticeship rather than go into Uni straight away. When I found out about the Pret Apprenticeship, it intrigued me as it offered many levels and a great career path. Hospitality is one of the biggest in the market, therefore, experience within hospitality can give you many opportunities.
What is your favourite part of your role?
My favourite part about my role is working with my team on developing shop performance through team working, analysing data and problem solving in order to get results.
What have you learnt from your role/career journey that you didn’t expect to learn?
The most unexpected thing I have learnt within my career journey is that I’m tougher than I thought. I rejoined the apprenticeship programme at Level 4 as I enjoyed the Level 2 and wanted to develop my knowledge further within the business and hospitality to be better in my job at Pret.
