Speakers for Schools are supporting an insight session with DJ Connie Von D who has juggled multiple jobs and has now been able to set up her own business- all before the age of 30!
Here’s why Connie wants you to join her session.
“I was raised by a wonderful single parent, on a council estate, school went great but higher education was so so. All I knew is that I was not made to follow what society sees as ‘normal’. Now, after years of hard work and dreaming big – I own my own business. DJ up and down the country, Artist Liaison for Preston Pride (staging its first ever Pride Parade) all while being newly diagnosed with ADHD. Sounds a lot right? But, I said to myself why do one thing when you can take over everything you know and love and make it your job?”
DJ Connie Von D is living proof that working with what you have can get you the work you want. She’s going to talk about how you can be neurodiverse and set up your own business, use social media to promote yourself effectively and make a career being yourself!
