Hickory Dickory’s Playhouse is a busy children indoor adventure play and party centre located in Kings Heath in Birmingham.
We are looking to recruit for a new position of Play Activity Coordinator which will be based in the centre for 25 hours per week.
The play activity coordinator will be responsible for organising the baby and toddler sessions on weekdays in term time and during the school holiday activities for children of primary school age.
You will be working with the centre manager to set up and run the term time weekday play sessions and we will be aiming to cover the 7 key learning and development stages in the early years EYFS national curriculum to enhance and compliment young children learning and play opportunities.
Weekly theme’s will be followed and cultural and religious festivals will be used to plan the activities.
Activities will include arts / crafts, dance / movement, music making, messy play, story time, sensory activities and baby activities too.
You will be responsible for liaising with the baby class leaders that come into the centre to deliver their classes and also for organising a timetable and ensuring that the classes run smoothly.
You will be responsible for recruiting new classes that would benefit the customers that visit Hickory Dickory’s You will need to have an outgoing friendly personality and possess good communication skills Time keeping and reliability are very important as is the ability to be flexible and determined to see a process through.
You need to have an enjoyment of arts and crafts and also be patient and enjoy young children.
