This is an opportunity to join a growing law firm based in Leeds City Centre. We are a firm of solicitors and provide legal advice to a range of businesses both nationally and internationally. You will work with the administrative and operations team which supports a team of around 20 lawyers. The successful candidate will work across key support functions in the business including the secretarial team, reception and our operations management function which looks after all back-office matters. You will undertake a number of general office administration and reception duties and learn about the operation of an office environment. There will be also be the opportunity to assist and support the operations manager and learn about the different functions of a law firm. Typically, tasks will include:

General office administration:

  • Photocopying, scanning & document management
  • Handling of post (inbound and outbound)
  • Monitoring of supplies and stationery ordering
  • Filing and general office duties
  • Using and helping to maintain and manage administrative systems such as archiving and the document management system

Reception:

  • Answering telephone calls and redirecting as appropriate
  • Greeting and looking after clients
  • Managing meeting room bookings and organising room use by staff
  • Arranging supplies and equipment for meetings

Operational management support:

  • Collating information and documents
  • Attendance at meetings and note taking
  • Making calls to and liaising with suppliers
  • Written communication with suppliers
  • Helping with social media activity
