Working in the NHS doesn’t mean you need to take a medical professional role, you can also work in administration or IT. Gain work based experience with a 5 day work experience opportunity with County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.
Who is it available for?
This work experience program is open to students aged 15 to 18 in education or training. Where applicable, the program is open to students aged 15 to 21 in education for those with a learning disability.
It does not cover students studying at university, or those aged 18+ looking for work place experience prior to a change of career.
What departments hold work experience?
Due to certain potential risks to students and patients, there are currently restricted areas where you will not be unable to undertake work experience including Accident and Emergency, Intensive Care Unit, Mental Health, and Child Protection. Where to apply
Work experience requests are managed through the Learning and development administration team. Only work experience placements which have been submitted via the Trust’s website and online application will be processed. Individuals cannot directly request a placement by email, paper application, CV, in person or by telephone.
