Molson Coors Beverage Company has been named the winner of the Good Youth Employment Benchmark Employment award.
As one of the three categories in the Good Youth Employment Benchmark, a tool created by Youth Employment UK for employers to monitor and measure their youth employment strategies, the Employment award celebrates Molson Coors Beverage Company’s commitment to early careers programmes.
This award encompasses the full recruitment journey from attraction and recruitment, to ongoing training and retention.
Championing Underrepresented Groups
In the award ceremony, it was noted that the judges were impressed by Molson Coors Beverage Company’s commitment to always supporting underrepresented groups. They target young people through education links and relationships with local and national organisations, ensuring there are opportunities for economically disadvantaged young people, underrepresented men or women in the workforce and minoritised ethnic groups.
Not only do they pay special attention to those with big barriers to employment, they ensure that their opportunities are accessible to everyone by directly feeding youth voice into the design and delivery of their programmes.
As a champion for good youth employment practice, Molson Coors Beverage Company has offered apprenticeship, graduate and entry-level roles to over 100 young people in the last 12 months. The commitment to their young staff across all the programmes they offer was clear, with mentoring, mental health support, ongoing training, financial resources, and employee resource groups being a part of the offer to all employees.
