We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Marketing Assistant, to support the Communications & Marketing team to engage and share our messaging across our exciting youth community.
This role is supported and funded by ELEVATE and is only open to applicants aged 18-30 who are based (live, work or study) in Lambeth.
The role
As our Marketing Assistant, you will be supporting Spiral’s engagement and story telling across our exciting network of stakeholders. This will feature:
- Assisting content production & engagement across our social media platforms
- Monitoring opportunities & sharing them across our youth network
- Supporting recruitment campaigns to engage young people, professional volunteers and employer partners
- Documenting workshops, programmes and events
- Supporting the collection of quotes and anecdotes to showcase our work
- Communicating news and updates to Spiral’s network of youth workers
- Supporting the production and standardising of our resources, responsive to young people’s needs
- Assisting events and Spiral’s opportunity festivals
- Supporting research and focus groups about youth engagement
- Sourcing influencers and contributors in line with Spiral’s ethos
Entry requirements
- An understanding of social media monitoring & scheduling
- Ability to follow a brand guide
- Creativity and good writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Organisation and time management
- Ability to work in fast paced environments, delivering high quality work whilst remaining positive and supportive to colleagues
- Have an understanding of our youth community’s demographic and a clear understanding of their barriers
- Ability to communicate with key people throughout our network
- Research and interpersonal skills
Preferable for this role:
- Photography, videography, editing
- Experience in co-ordinating events

Position: Marketing Assistant
Contract Type: Paid Internship
Pay: £11.95 per hour, 3 days a week
Internship period: 6 months with opportunity to progress
Location: Central Brixton
