We are currently recruiting brilliant new engineering apprentices to join Colas Rail! Colas Rail have opportunities throughout England, including in Birmingham, Kent, Bristol, Essex and London.
Join the Colas Rail Level 3 Rail Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Scheme today to jump start your career and begin to provide you with the technical skills that you will need to realise your potential. The duration of the scheme is between 2 and 3 years, dependent on your specialism; whether this be OLE, Signalling, Traction & Rolling Stock or Track. As an apprentice with Colas Rail, you will be enrolled on the Level 3 Rail Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Programme and you can expect to be working closely with our experienced engineers and management on improving the UK rail systems. As part of your apprenticeship scheme you will attend block release training to learn the more advanced skills of your technical specialism and throughout your programme you will be supported with all the technical training that you will need to become a competent engineering technician.
You will be given the opportunity to continuously learn and develop your skills and knowledge, with the goal of helping you achieve Engineering Technician status with a relevant professional institution.
It is very important to that you only think of your apprenticeship scheme as the very start of your journey with Colas Rail because this is going to be just the beginning of an exciting, challenging and very rewarding career.

Person requirements
Colas Rail are looking for enthusiastic and determined people who can work both independently and in a team. For all their Apprenticeship Programmes, they are looking for a minimum of a Grade C or 4 in Maths and English, and the ability to stand out, by your previous work experience or extracurricular activities. They are also looking for apprentices who share their ethics and behaviours, but are not afraid to look at ways in which we can continuously improve.
