Our unique 16-week Leadership and Management Bootcamp will train you in essential skills marrying well-established theories and practices of leadership and management in the workplace with practical opportunities to apply them.
You’ll also gain knowledge and confidence in managing resources and budgets working with modern technology, leading, and managing change in an organisation, communication and vision-setting, people management and more.
And you’ll learn all of these core skills through their practical applications to contemporary issues and opportunities, such as the climate change agenda, inclusive employment, and the digital revolution.
It’s an active, stimulating, and exploratory way to learn and develop your leadership potential.
Our programme is ideally suited to managers or aspiring managers looking to create and nurture an environment of innovation or change within their business.
We will offer constant support, working with our case workers to create detailed career progression routes.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of completion which is supported by the Faculty of Business and Law at Coventry University. You will also have access to excellent support from Coventry University.
What’s more, your training will have given you the skills you need to move up the career ladder and the confidence to create realistic career goals!
The course begins in June 2022. Each skills course comprises approximately 2 hours of online tuition twice a week, and 6 hours of personal study each week. The online tuition will be scheduled, but you can fit the other hours around your commitments. Once a month there will a full day session in-person.
Entry requirements
This bootcamp is open to:
- UK Nationals, settled EEA nationals and those granted permanent residency
- People aged 19 or over
- West Midlands Combined Authority Residents
- Those who have not already taken accredited Leadership and/or Management training
- Those who are not currently enrolled in an apprenticeship or programme funded from the Adult Education Budget
You don’t need any prior qualifications. You just need to be hardworking, determined and have a desire to better yourself and develop your career.
You must have:
- The ability to communicate in English
- Keyboarding skills
- A computer with working microphone, speakers, and a web camera
- Useful software, i.e. Microsoft Office, and a good web browser, i.e. Google Chrome
- Reliable internet access
