TfL have a number of different Apprenticeship opportunities available, including roles in Transport Planning, Highways and Traffic, Tech & Data and a number of engineering roles within London Underground.
To apply for TfL’s Apprenticeship roles you must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade A* – C or Grade 4 and above, including Maths and English Language (or equivalents) and be 18 years of age before the start date of the programme. (Please check the job description for specific schemes)
All TfL’s roles are based in London and offer a salary up to £19,815 per annum.
As a part of our fast-paced Technology & Data teams you’ll learn the skills required to support the teams that keep London Moving. Our Technology Service Operations teamwork across a range of technologies from coding languages such as python Csharp abap and lots of other exciting software. We use technology to improve the journeys of our customers, maximise the efficiency of our network and to extract insight from our data to enable us to make key business decisions.
We are always looking for ways to improve the service that we deliver to our customers. Whether that’s giving our frontline staff I Pads and building them apps to manage their daily tasks to enabling Wi-Fi on our stations for the public to stay connected whilst they travel. Every single development and journey really does matter.
One of TfL’s six priorities is exploiting technology to produce better and faster results. Technology and Data (T&D) will consistently provide cost effective, reliable, secure and innovative technology and data services. What will I be doing? As an apprentice, your 2-year, development programme will be made up of 6 or more placement rotations, for example: Asset Management, SAP, Digital, Professional Services, and Operations.
