L2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship opportunity with Age UK Gateshead Ltd – Newcastle #CreateYourFuture

Responsibilities will include:

• To help customers by using planned care with all personal tasks, mobility problems and assisting with use of care aids
• Complete risk assessments
• Promotion of cognitive and physical activities through engagement, activities, external outings
• Assist with setting up for clients (tables, activities etc) and assist with serving of meals, supporting clients with higher dependency with eating etc.
• Assist with cleaning up following mealtimes
• Read and record accurate daily activity logs/ wellbeing of all clients in their personal files
• Take part in all necessary ongoing training and meetings
• Provide occasional cover across AGE UK Gateshead as and when required
• The updating of care plans and risk assessments – with support
• Aiding with care in the day centre
• Stimulating socialisation
• Coordinating and partaking in Activity’s
• Setting up the Daycentre ready for attendance
• Spending time with the clients on a 1-1 and group basis
• Light cleaning duties
• Assisting with cooking
• Passenger assistance on buses
• Occasional provision of support to admin team
• General office administration
