We are open to candidates with varying levels of CNC on/offline programming experience, who want to break into a new sector of manufacturing and who are keen to learn new skills and techniques.
About the role
To be part of a small office-based programming team with over 30 years of experience, working to achieve collective production goals. These include programming 2D and 3D components, nesting, proofing, and improving component manufacturing efficiencies.
Working with hundreds of different components including one-offs, bespoke items, small batch, through to large batch production runs. Supplying programs to be run on our fleet of 3 axis CNC machines.
Training and support are provided by our Senior Programmer, but an acute eye for detail, as well as a methodical and consistent approach are essential. Outside of the Programming office the role would have contact with the Production Manager, Factory Manager, CNC Supervisors and Product Designers.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the running of, and daily tasks within the department
- Program orders to schedule
- Offer component, machining and technique improvements for a more effective production
- Maintain a consistent output to help toward the daily department shared production goals
- Check and verify work carried out by other team members
- carry out program enhancements and revision changes
Experiences & skills
- CNC / CAM /CAD software experience
- Mastercam preferred but not essential
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Numeracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to focus
Details
We offer:
- Competitive salary – negotiable depending on experience
- 40 hour working week (08:00 – 17:00, Mon – Fri)
- 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Salary: £22,500 – £28,000 per year
