Location: ABP Yetminster Salary:  £20,000 (incremental increases throughout the duration of the apprenticeship). Whatever your interests or background, a rewarding career path will be available within ABP.   Role Definition: Example of the Finance one You will be working as part of the Technical team to ensure that ABP Yetminster produces safe, legal and top-quality lamb products. Products must be produced in accordance with relevant legislation and customer standards. To guarantee this, you will actively participate in verification checks, validation of processes and compliance checks. You will be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team, liaising with all levels of personnel across the business to ensure we remain compliant and maintain positive relationships internally and externally. Alongside completing your role, you’ll work towards completing your Food Industry Technologist Level 3 qualification which will help to give you the key knowledge, as well as developing the skills required.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality of lamb at every stage of production and ensure it meets specification and legislative requirements.
  • Raise process and product quality issues, oversee corrective action and update processes.
  • Audit products and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Investigate non-conforming products and processes and make recommendations to resolve issues.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Conduct product sampling, interpret results and conduct trend analysis. Investigate as and when required.

  Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:
  • Completion of GCSE, A-Level or T-Level studies.
  • A minimum of GCSE in English (Grade 4/C) and Maths (Grade 5/B) or above.
  • Must be over 18 years of age by September 2024.
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction.
  • Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Self-motivated with a positive outlook
  • Focus on attention to detail and maintaining high standards.
