This Apprenticeship is part of the exciting initiative called Talent Inclusion Project which is about making hockey more representative across communities in Manchester, Bristol and London. At England Hockey you will work towards your Community Sport and Health Officer L3 Apprenticeship Qualification over the course of 12-18 Months. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Be a positive role model for communities from underrepresented groups
  • Support the delivery of hockey and other activities to the community and help make hockey exciting and fun for more people.
  • Through the role with England Hockey you will build relationships with people and organisations.
  • Through the collaboration with Nuffield Health you will promote, refer and support delivery of Move Together in underserved communities (a community exercise/activity programme aimed at teen girls)
  • Support local Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing team from the gyms, with the delivery of its fitness/wellbeing offering to members and the community
  • Support school and community outreach in respect of awareness, planning and delivery of sessions and programmes
  • Inspire and build relationships with all populations of the community
  • Working with the head coach of programmes to support and deliver hockey programmes across the location area
