The #iwill campaign has launched #iwill week, a whole week of activity beginning today where they will be celebrating young people and their social action achievements.
Youth Employment UK are partners of the #iwill campaign and back when it launched made a pledge to support social action through the work that we do. Young people all over the Country take part in volunteering, community projects and fund raising. The skills they are building through these activities should be recognised as part of their self-development. We encourage the organisation in our membership to recognise social action on a young persons job application and/or CV through our Youth Friendly Employer Charter.
Step up to Serve the organisation behind the campaign has also built a set of principles of what good social action programmes look like and YEUK has developed our Volunteer Ambassador Programme around that.
Social action is good for everyone and we will definitely be celebrating it through #iwill week
