Lauren Mistry has been appointed as the newly created Deputy CEO of Youth Employment UK!
Lauren began working for Youth Employment UK in 2016, having worked in the commercial recruitment and then careers space. At the time of her joining, Youth Employment UK was a very small organisation and Lauren undertook a number of roles and responsibilities, working alongside the Chief Executive.
Together Lauren and LJ have developed the strategic direction of Youth Employment UK and grown its reach and impact across all aspects of its work. Lauren, in particular, has led instrumental projects and work including the creation of the first-ever Youth Voice Census and has continued to lead that work to date. Lauren also led the development of the Youth Employment UK website, supporting the skills and careers content development which now receives more than 2 million visits per year.
Over the last 2 years, Lauren has held the role of Director of Strategy, Impact and Comms and has continued to be instrumental to the development, growth, and impact of Youth Employment UK. Alongside our ambitious plans for 2023 we are also working on the internal growth and development of the organisation, shoring up our sustainability, processes, and staff development.
As part of this work, we were delighted to appoint Lauren to the newly created role of Deputy CEO where Lauren will take on even further responsibility for the organisation. As Deputy CEO Lauren will continue with an impact and strategy lens, but also have a growing external role working with key strategic partners and representing Youth Employment UK our insight and research across the sector.
The Board and team at Youth Employment UK could not be more pleased to see Lauren in this new role and will be celebrating her success together.
