Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship At Compuserve Services: #CreateYourFuture

Compuserve Services are looking for someone to work in our structured cabling team as, initially, a trainee cabler and IT Engineer.

Closing date: 30 November 2021

Under the close supervision of a Senior Cabling Engineer, the Apprentice Cabling Engineer will assist, learn and gain experience of:

  • Identification of suitable cable routes and locations
  • Pulling in data cables, fixing safely and securely
  • Installation of suitable containment, modules and ports
  • Termination to Cat5e and Cat6 Standards
  • Installation of Comms Cabinets
  • Installation and termination of Patch Panels
  • Data cable testing procedures
  • PSTN Telephone wiring moves and changes
  • Understanding Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Safe working with Power Tools
  • Safe working at height and in confined spaces
  • Cabling Surveys
  • WiFi Surveys
  • WiFi Access Point Installation
  • IT Equipment Installation
  • Writing, editing, and revising documentation on common procedures

  • Minimum Math and English GCSE’s C/4 or above
  • Must have a driver’s license

  • Annual wage

    £18,000.00

  • Working week

    Monday to Friday. Times TBC.

    Total hours per week: 40.00
