As with any job, you might need qualifications… but there’s always a way to get into careers in sport if you have the passion but not the qualifications or experience!
How to get your first sports job?
When you think of sports jobs, what first comes to mind? Footballer, personal trainer, pro athlete? There are actually lots of jobs that let your enthusiasm for physical activity take centre court. And you don’t need the physique of a freerunner or a university degree to get started!
Vocational qualifications, traineeships and apprenticeships, and even summer jobs that lead to something more are all great ways into sports jobs that you might not have thought about before.
If you’re not sure what comes next after Results Day, or you’re moving on from education into your next life adventure, these Youth Friendly Employers can help you take your first steps into a sports career you’ll love.
