Are your Year 12 students struggling to find summer work experience? They can apply for Historic England’s virtual work experience programme for 16-18 year olds , July 12-14.
Historic England’s three-day programme includes live content, talks from guest speakers and the opportunity to contribute to some of their work as they champion historic places to help people understand, value and care for them. All delegates will receive a certificate of completion of their work experience at Historic England at the end of the programme.
The summer 2022 event runs from Tuesday 12 July to Thursday 14 July 2022.

The virtual work experience programme is open to 16-18 year olds and takes place online. Applications are open to all and Historic England encourage applications from those who are considering a career in heritage.
Accessibility
Historic England’s learning experiences have been designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind so that everyone can participate equally. They are able to offer a variety of technical support functions such as closed captioning and mouse-less navigation. The programme includes plenty of breaks and opportunities to interact in different ways. Learning materials used in the activities can be made available in advance and in different formats such as large print, audio recording, braille or accessible PDF.

How can students apply?
Historic England are able to accommodate up to 50 delegates for each programme. Tickets can be booked, free of charge, through Eventbrite on a first come first served basis. If they are currently opening up tickets the link to sign up will be here.
There is no application form. Students just need to sign up via the link to get a space. All students receive a certificate of completion at the end of the three days.
