Groundwork Northamptonshire are looking for new Trustees to join their Board.
Wherever you are born or live, everyone should have the right to access the same chances, this is the belief that Groundwork has been built upon. With equality and inclusion at our core, we bring the people of Northamptonshire together through a number of green and creative projects. All this is underpinned by an exceptional Youth work programme, with Groundwork supporting more than 1,000 children and young people every year.
Through our range of initiatives, which include Green Patch, Made with Many and JAM Youth work, we ensure everyone can access and enjoy green spaces, live a life filled with culture and creativity, and get the support they need to manage challenging times. Groundwork is here to make a positive difference to lives, to inspire individuals, to strive for more and to empower communities to come together.
We are looking for Trustees to join our Board to make sure it’s fit for purpose, we are looking for people to volunteer time to support us in our development, giving oversight and scrutiny, ensuring that our governance and strategy are as good as they can be.
We are particularly looking for you to bring skills and experience with you, which could be about people (HR), legal, business, project and financial management, or the environment, community development, arts, culture and youth work. We really value ‘lived experience’ and would love to reach people we have supported through our projects to join our Board, to ensure that user’s voice is represented.
It’s really important that you are passionate about what we do and want to help make a difference to everyone we work with. Your enthusiasm and energy to get on board with our Charity are essential.
Commitment in a month is anticipated to be a minimum 4 hours, with the potential to be part of sub groups and bring on areas of interest.
