To celebrate Green Careers Week, we have created a green careers awareness poster for schools.
Green Careers Week has been launched to raise awareness of green careers in every industry.
Why green careers are important
The UK government aims to reach net zero in all sectors of the economy by 2050. Net zero means the amount of greenhouse gas we take out of the environment is the same as the amount we produce.
Many jobs can make a positive impact in different ways. Any career that helps the UK work towards net zero can be considered a green career, so there is plenty of scope for students and learners to discover roles matching their skills and interests.
We have a range of free school posters dedicated to skills and careers. It’s all part of our commitment to support teachers and careers leaders with CEIAG that helps students and learners take their next steps with confidence.
Pathways and LMI data are correct at time of publication. LMI data is always changing so to find the latest data, young people can visit their careers service: England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Our work with Youth Friendly Green Employers
If your young people are ready for their next steps into training and work, you can share the early careers hubs of a number of Youth Friendly Employers offering green careers. These employers are committed to offering quality employment and training opportunities to young people including apprenticeships and graduate schemes. Find them in our Green Careers Guide.
