About the Environment Agency’s Flood and coastal engineering MSc
EA’s technical Flood and coastal engineering MSc is provided by Brunel University in partnership with HR Wallingford. It will maintain and enhance your skills and experience in flood management initiatives to protect communities from flooding.
What will you learn?
On the course you’ll develop your knowledge of structural design, geotechnics and how to manage and mitigate risk against extreme flood events through environmental assessment and strategic management. You’ll also develop your skills in hydraulic modelling, flood estimation and engineering design.
Who is it for?
This course is for graduates who have typically studied engineering, mathematics, environmental science, geography or geology and are now looking to become chartered engineers. It is advisable that you have studied A level maths or equivalent.
The Environment Agency sponsors a limited number of places on the programme.
Can you get sponsorship?
To apply for a sponsored place you must be employed by the Environment Agency or a Risk Management Authority. Sponsorship covers tuition fees.
