Plan International UK is looking for girls and young women to take over senior roles in companies where there are typically more male leaders than women.

#GirlsTakeover – Taking place throughout September and October, the Girls Takeover programme will see girls and young women step into the roles of senior business leaders, media and politics for a day to demand equal power, freedom and representation for girls and young women whilst gaining leadership and career experiences for their future.
Acting as ‘CEO’ for the day at major UK companies such as AstraZeneca, Credit Suisse, Office for National Statistics, Clear Channel and many more.
You could have the opportunity to join a board meeting, meet with senior staff across the organisation to gain career advice and discuss key issues such as gender equality, inclusion and diversity. This opportunity is open to all girls and young women, including those who identify as a girl or young woman, aged 14-24.
How to apply
To apply for this opportunity, you will need to fill out a short online application form, which includes uploading a short 2 minute video. Your video should cover:
- Why you want to take part in a Girls Takeover
- What you would hope to achieve from taking over a senior business role
- Your views on a girl’s right to participate and be actively listened to in her society
If you are shortlisted, you may be asked to submit a follow-up application by completing a task based on a specific business challenge or priority that the partner company has identified.
