Pullman Hotel Liverpool have a fantastic opportunity for anybody looking to start their career within the hospitality sector. Working in partnership with Remit Training, Pullman Hotel Liverpool is offering the opportunity to undertake a traineeship and get real hands-on experience of working within the hospitality sector with a guaranteed interview.
What is a traineeship?
A traineeship gives you the opportunity to gain sector-based qualifications, skills and knowledge in a classroom environment before working within a business to gain vital hands-on experience. Pullman Hotel Liverpool are giving you the opportunity to see how the Food and Beverage operation works within the hotel. You will be supporting their customer facing staff in taking orders and serving our guests, working closely with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth service and understanding what working behind a busy bar is like.

Food and Beverage Assistant
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the food and beverage areas
• Maintain exceptional levels of Customer Service
• Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
• Serve food and drink (please note to comply with local licensing legislation applicants must be over 18)
• Clear tables
• Knowledge of menu content, menu changes, and promotional activities
• Moving furniture to set up function rooms
• Follow cash handling procedures
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Strive to achieve departmental targets as part of the team
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
• Comply with local licensing laws
• Be environmentally aware
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
• Be able to work unsociable working hours, breakfast shifts start as early as 5am, bar shifts can finish as late as 4am. (the company does offer a 50% rate taxi service)
This opportunity includes 4 weeks of pre-employment training allowing you to learn the skills you will need to identify your future talent and unlock your potential within the workplace. Following on from this you will then complete 3 weeks of work experience to showcase your talents and what you have learnt from the course, get more familiar with the people in the company and the role, after which you will be offered a GUARANTEED INTERVIEW for a job role. During the 4 weeks of pre-employment training, you will be working towards a qualification in Customer Service along with improving your employability prospects, maths, English & digital skills, all of which are vital within any workplace and will help you feel well prepared for your work experience and the GUARANTEED INTERVIEW.
