About the opportunity
Our highly sought-after Finance programme attracts huge interest each year because it offers a unique opportunity to understand and influence the relationship that ABP has with its customer base and wider business. It affords successful candidates a dynamic and challenging work environment whilst helping them develop knowledge of the industry alongside supporting their study for the professional qualification – CIMA.
The 4 rotational elements include learnings in the following areas:
Factory – Learn the core operations of the business at one of our sites throughout the UK. Candidates will gain an in-depth understanding of all processes within the factory and will be able to relate these learnings to different aspects of factory finance, including management accounts, product costings and KPI analysis.
Internal Audit – The Internal Audit function provides candidates with the opportunity to travel throughout Europe. Learning on the job from a number of experienced senior staff, you will focus on reviewing all controls at site level, ensuring business risks are minimised.
Business Support Office – An opportunity to learn from and work with the centralised functions at our Support Office based in the Midlands. Candidates will learn how to consolidate group monthly accounts and produce financial reports for board the Board of Directors.
Project – An opportunity to take the lead on a project to be decided at the time by the Finance Director.
Knowledge & Experience
We’re looking for candidates who have studied or are in their final year of an Accountancy, Mathematics or similar related degree.
We also want someone who is:
- Passionate about food and has an appreciation for the complexities that come with a career in food
- An inquisitive nature
- A commercial mindset
- Adaptable to change
- Highly computer literate with excellent attention to detail
- Holds a full UK driving licence
