Bring the natural world to life as a specialist Field Studies Instructor with PGL. This role offers the ideal start for someone considering a future in teaching.
You’ll live, work, and play at our beautiful activity centre on the Dorset coast, Osmington Bay. The centre provides a spectacular location for taking the National Curriculum out of the classroom.
As a PGL Field Studies Instructor, you will have the opportunity to bring the natural world to life introducing our guests to concepts of learning, using the outside world as your classroom.
At the same time you’ll be enriching the lives of young people by instilling a love of adventure and the great outdoors, encouraging independence and empowering them to achieve amazing things in the future.
You’ll also be supporting our hospitality team, which could involve assisting in catering, housekeeping or retail. No two days will ever be the same!

We are looking for…
- A confident and engaging personality who loves finding the joy in sharing your knowledge with others
- Adores being active in the outdoors, with a passion for sport & leisure
- Ideally you will have experience of working/volunteering with children, such as being involved with scouts/guides/cadet groups, coaching sports teams, or helping out at youth groups or clubs
- Degree educated in Geography, Geology, Science or any other relevant subject.

- Excellent rates of pay of up to £22,995 per annum for entry level roles
- Working 42 hours per week over 5 days
- Beat the cost-of-living crisis with our optional accommodation & meals package. With all bills and utilities covered, you’ll still earn up to £364 a week and our competitive meals package will provide you with three nutritional meals every day
- Roles commence in EARLY 2023
