Recognising Talent
Recruiting a diverse workforce has become a priority for many organisations, with lots of investment into understanding and developing attraction and recruitment processes to support company aims. Yet still many young people struggle to access employment, young people who are talented and motivated and once employed able to add real value to their employer.
It is important to remember that not all young people have had the same opportunity to develop academic and personal skills within education settings or their home life. Young people who are looking for work may have the motivation, attitude and desire to succeed but may not present well in job applications, CV’s or at an interview. Youth Friendly organisations are the ones that give all young people a fair chance and recognise talent and potential not just grades.
In our business breakfast we will look at how organisations can develop best practice to recruiting a young diverse workforce. How to attract candidates who may normally be excluded from traditional recruitment methods and support them to be successful and loyal employees.
