- Examine the Government’s apprenticeship reforms and explore the future of apprenticeships following Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic
- Assess what changes are needed to the government’s apprenticeship policy to unleash greater investment in skills, training, productivity, and innovation
- Identify strategies to deliver high-quality training and cultivate learners’ skills and prospects for long term employment
- Explore ways to raise the status of apprenticeships and present training opportunities as attractive alternatives to university study
- Understand how apprenticeships can support businesses and close existing skill gaps, especially among SMEs
- Evaluate changes needed to ensure that access to apprenticeship funding is simplified and funding is being directed towards those sectors where skills gaps are most acute
- Co-develop strategies to secure equality and diversity in apprenticeships and ensure that disadvantaged and minority communities have equal access
- Assess what constitutes a high-quality apprenticeship and share best practices for training delivery across organisations
