Social mobility has stagnated in Great Britain and COVID-19 is adding even more hardship. Now more than ever is a time for us to come together to drive a positive change in social mobility.

The Social Mobility Commission is urging all employers to attend our webinar on 23 April 2020 at 2:30-3:30 p.m. Aimed at senior leaders and diversity and inclusion managers, this webinar will provide you with insights on what you can do now and how you can emerge as a leading business in the future, to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on social mobility.

The webinar has been developed in collaboration with a number of our social mobility partners including Youth Employment UK to equip you with the following insights:

  • Statistics on social mobility pre-COVID-19
  • Predicted impacts of COVID-19 on social mobility
  • The measures you could take within your business to improve social mobility with respect to:
  • Measuring diversity
  • Outreach
  • Hiring
  • Progression
  • Culture and leadership
  • Advocacy
  • Examples of what organisations are doing in response to COVID-19

Many of the measures we will highlight in the webinar build upon what our Employers’ Toolkit to increase socio-economic diversity and inclusion in your workplace.
