As a talent professional for over 25 years, Dean has a great passion for creating talent and development opportunities where anyone can be at their best and thrive through education, careers, and life. Throughout his career Dean has benefited from a diverse pathway as a talent lead in the aviation, ecommerce, hospitality, tourism, and leisure industries.
Over the years Dean has successfully led on some large-scale change and transformation initiatives that have focused on talent acquisition and development, early careers, DE&I, and apprenticeship programmes, where he has also represented several trailblazer groups to help inform some of the existing standards. He has a brilliant energy and drive towards supporting youth employment and developing career programmes that are inclusive and accessible to all.
Dean takes real pride in making a positive difference to people’s lives, building a culture of continuous learning, creating the platforms where everyone can thrive, and developing learning opportunities that last a lifetime.
Haven’s ambition is to support more young people to help them build skills and career confidence. This has involved the launch of their Employer Profile on the Youth Employment UK website and the Haven Early Careers Academy which focuses on creating opportunities for ALL young people to thrive by providing early careers support to partner schools.
