The day’s programme

The employers’ Market Place will be the day’s centrepiece; meet with creative sector employers to find out what opportunities are live and what’s in the pipeline. Find out about the relevant application process and how you need to prepare. Would-be apprentices and trainees, and their parents, are all invited to be part of this day.

We’ll also be delivering three keynote presentations: one will focus on apprentice and trainee routes into broadcasting and programme production; the other will focus on exciting courses on offer from the National College Creative Industries. The day kicks off with a general session, designed to answer questions about what apprenticeships involve. Check out these sessions for valuable insights and advice from our expert panels.

Lezli Everitt, project leader, explained:

“Breaking into the creative industries can be daunting and is far from easy. We want to help those considering a career in theatre, TV, film, media and live events by giving them as much information as possible so they can make informed decisions to shape their future.

“This event is the perfect occasion for young people starting out on their journey to meet with industry professionals, current apprentices and possible future employers, allowing them to find out which sector they want to work in, and gain an insight into the opportunities available to them.”
