In house repairs to vacuum pumps and blowers. Different technologies will be serviced and repaired.

This apprenticeship includes:

• Working under supervision the successful candidate will learn skills around repairing and servicing vacuum pumps, from a number of different industries and applications
• Site visits required will be accompanied
• Working under supervision the successful candidate will learn skills around repairing and servicing vacuum pumps, from a number of different industries and applications
• The candidate will be trained on how to dismantle rotary vane vacuum pumps, identify issues, clean rebuild and final test the units
• Upon achieving a satisfactory level the candidate will then progress to centrifugal blowers then claw style unit units so working through the latest in vacuum technology
• They will come to understand the relevance of different technologies in different industries including fault finding which ultimately may lead to some customer liaison and assistance
• The future role may also involve accompanied site visits for servicing needs and occasional breakdown visits
• They will learn to use different equipment in the repair process
• They will be an important part of a close knit team
