So now we are entering July I have been at YEUK for just over a month now and things are going great. I have been able to put things that I have learnt from 3aaa into my work. I did this by creating a Instagram voting competition because at training I learnt that Instagram was the biggest growing network right now so I thought it would be good to incorporate my training into the competition.
Plus I thought it would help people generate their own ideas about youth employment and what it means to them by putting those ideas into an image. Since June I have now done some filming with LJ for OCR all about vocational qualifications which will be coming out later on in the month. I took lots of pictures while we were there and placed them all into some shirt fun slideshows for the website.
I have found my confidence growing by going alone to meet ambassadors or MPs at such events as the skills commissions guide to skills. I have learnt so much this month and I’m really excited for the upcoming projects we are working on to help each young person and how our work can help other organisations. I have found it really exciting talking to new people over twitter and LinkedIn and to see how we can all get involved.
In August and September we have some big projects coming out I hope to hear from you then and I will talk to you all next month in my August update. Thank you and I wish you all a happy summer. Im now off for two weeks in sunny Netherlands so I’ll bring you all a postcard back bye bye for now.
