We are delighted to announce a summer long campaign for young people which is launching in partnership with The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC).
#CreateYourFuture will be the biggest youth-facing campaign for this year, providing young people with the opportunity to build their skills, knowledge and confidence as well as to connect them to the fantastic opportunities.
The last year has been particularly difficult for young people who have been impacted by Covid economically, educationally and socially. Young people do not feel confident in themselves or their futures, they do not think that they will find good opportunities where they live; it’s time to change that view.
There are two parts to the campaign:
1. The CEC will be promoting a scheme of work designed by Youth Employment UK to all school and college Career Leaders in its network as part of #CECAheadOfTheGame. The scheme of work is targeted at those young people transitioning this summer, across a flexible 6 week programme young people will be given the opportunity to build their skills, knowledge and confidence to help them be more prepared for their next steps.
2. At the same time Youth Employment UK will be launching a youth-facing campaign #CreateYourFuture which will be used to showcase the Explore, Experience, Employment and Education opportunities available to young people. The campaign will feature inspiring content from young people showcasing how young people can take control of their next steps.
The #CreateYourFuture campaign will run from the 10th May until 10th September.
