When we talk about routes in life, we are not talking about Star Wars and turning to the light (Jedi) or the dark side (Sith). We are talking about specific options for our next stage in life, whether it’s study, training or work.

For example, after leaving school you could go to uni, go to college, do work-based training, or apply for jobs. But there are many choices within that. You could combine uni, training and jobs with a degree apprenticeship, or your work-based training could be a traineeship or apprenticeship, or you could study a wealth of different courses in college, from A-levels to T-levels or BTECs.
